South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care in Columbia, SC is seeking a Board-Certified or residency-trained Soft Tissue Surgeon to join our busy emergency and specialty hospital.

Collaborative workspace with dedicated resources for patient and client care. The facility is VECCS Level II & AAHA Accredited, designed for optimal workflow and patient well-being. Features include CT, MRI, Antech reference lab on site, and 24-hour emergency services. The veterinary team emphasizes clinical expertise over ego, fostering a supportive environment. Specialist services include: Anesthesia & Pain Management, Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Critical Care, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. A robust 24/7 ER service ensures round-the-clock coverage.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon (Soft Tissue) or Residency Trained Veterinarian.
