We’re looking for a Board Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join our thriving specialty and emergency hospital. You’ll be part of a respected team of surgeons, emergency clinicians, and experienced technicians who value collaboration, mentorship, and supporting one another.
Our surgical caseload provides variety and challenge, with approximately 50% orthopedic, 45% soft tissue, and 5% neurologic cases. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including CT imaging, digital radiography, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, Nanoscope, and Ligasure to support high-quality surgical care.
Most importantly, this role offers genuine work life balance. With no on call responsibilities for after‑hours emergency surgeries, you can finish your day in the OR and head to the beach, spend time with family and friends, or simply enjoy your evening.

In Your Day to Day, You Will
- Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures
- Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using advanced imaging and surgical equipment
- Collaborate with other specialties to support integrated case management
- Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities
- Work alongside a dedicated surgical nursing and support team
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
- Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
- Board Certification in Surgery or residency training in Surgery
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client centered approach
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
- A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine
- A desire to contribute to mentorship, collaboration, and the continued growth of the surgical service
