CVETS (Columbia Veterinary Emergency Trauma and Specialty) is seeking an ACVS Diplomate, or residency-trained doctor, to become the 5th surgeon in our growing specialty hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. CVETS is a private hospital owned by doctors who actively practice on the floor.
We recognize the national shortage of experienced, boarded surgeons and are committed to making this one of the most competitive opportunities in the country.
We offer:
- $200,000 signing bonus & $400,000–$500,000 base salary for an experienced ACVS Diplomate
- 25% production
- Relocation assistance
- 16 days PTO
- CE allowance and additional time off
Board certification, a 3-year commitment, and participation in the on-call rotation and resident training are required for the full signing incentive. A partial bonus is available to residency-trained surgeons.

Our 30,000-square-foot facility features:
- Five fully equipped operating rooms, including a Storz Smart OR
- Intraoperative fluoroscopy
- Arthrex arthroscopy and plating systems
- 1.5T MRI and 256-slice CT
- A strong mix of elective orthopedic procedures, advanced soft-tissue cases, and high-acuity trauma referrals
You will have access to challenging cases without having to build the service or infrastructure yourself.
A Collaborative Multispecialty Environment
You will work closely with specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation.
Our integrated rehabilitation program includes underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, compression and cryotherapy systems, and customized physical therapy plans to support better recovery outcomes.

Qualifications
- Board-certified veterinary surgeon or residency-trained veterinarian
- Strong proficiency in orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and case management skills
- Interest in improving outpatient surgical workflows
- Collaborative, team-focused approach
