Providing expert consultation in veterinary medicine, the full-time Veterinary Medical Consultant DVM will serve as a clinical and technical authority for medical device regulatory reviews, working remotely to support internal and external stakeholders with scientific and technical advice. Key responsibilities Offer expert consultant services regarding the use of animal models in human medical device regulatory reviews Provide consultation to review teams on the planning and assessment of animal studies for medical device validation Assist in writing reviews and developing documentation related to medical device submissions and communications Required qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent with an unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the U.S Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) or Board certifications in a related field are strongly preferred A minimum of 7 years of clinical, academic, or industry experience General knowledge of medical device development technical disciplines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
