Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage complex small animal internal medicine cases
  • Conduct comprehensive consultations and develop individualised treatment plans
  • Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic investigations
  • Utilise ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging as clinically appropriate
  • Perform endoscopic and minimally invasive diagnostic procedures where required
  • Manage patients with acute, chronic, and multisystem disease
  • Collaborate with other veterinarians on complex and referred cases
  • Communicate diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment recommendations clearly with clients and referring veterinarians
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
  • Support the clinical development of veterinary colleagues and technical team members
  • Participate in continuing education and knowledge sharing
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and client service

Candidate Profile

Applicants must be board-certified or residency-trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine .

Candidates should also hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and be licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practise veterinary medicine in Kentucky .

Any additional professional registrations or controlled-substance credentials required for the role should be held or obtainable following appointment.
