VRC Specialty Hospital offers educational externship opportunities for veterinary students at all levels. During the externship you will work alongside board‑certified specialists and experienced support staff to learn real‑world case‑management skills and participate in hands‑on examinations, specialized procedures and advanced surgeries.
Program Overview
Externships are open to all veterinary students, with preference given to those in their clinical year. The program can be scheduled in two‑to‑eight‑week blocks, coordinated with your institution to meet clinical requirements. VRC operates 24‑7 for emergencies; typical student hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Schedule adjustments may be made according to department and case availability.
