Overview
An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. Each NVA hospital shares a supportive, commitment to excellent medicine, and provides exceptional service to animals and the people who love them.
Responsibilities
- Gather patient histories.
- Perform physical exams and create treatment plans.
- Conduct diagnostics, dentistry services, and observe or assist surgical procedures.
- Manage patient medical care.
Qualifications
- All Veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate.
- Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for travel/living expense stipend.
