Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligible to sit for board certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
- Demonstrated exceptional clinical skills in emergency medicine and critical care.
- Outstanding diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities in complex and high‑pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A strong commitment to providing the highest quality and most timely patient care.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a leader within a fast‑paced, collaborative team.
- Proficiency in maintaining meticulous and accurate medical records.
- Exceptional ability to handle highly stressful situations with composure, leadership, and efficiency.
Preferred (considered a plus)
- Board Certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
- Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an emergency and critical care department.
- Proficiency in a wide range of advanced critical care procedures and techniques.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- A strong interest in contributing to clinical research and the advancement of veterinary critical care.
