You choose where you set up. Dr Geoff Nicolson, our founder, already has an established cardiology client base across South East Queensland — but our team is equally set up to help you build a client base anywhere in Australia you'd rather be based.

If South East Queensland is where you want to be, you can hit the ground running: our existing client base there is well established, meaning you can be fully booked from day one.

Flexibility is central to how we operate: flexibility in location, and flexibility in how you structure your schedule.

The Role

You'll travel to partner GP clinics across your chosen region, working alongside their teams to bring specialist-level cardiology care directly to the patient. Day to day, you'll be:

• Performing echocardiography, electrocardiography and Holter monitoring as the core focus of the role, using equipment we provide.
• Examining, diagnosing, and managing the broader range of cardiology cases on-site at partner clinics.
• Client communication is minimal — you'll be working almost exclusively with the referring GP vet, not directly with pet owners.
• Working collaboratively with referring GP vets rather than in isolation.
• Delivering a verbal handover to the GP vet after each visit, with complete case notes and a treatment plan following shortly after.
• Building ongoing relationships with GP clinics and remaining available for follow-up as cases progress.
• Mentoring and upskilling GP colleagues along the way.

About You

• Registered (or eligible to register) as a veterinarian in Australia.
• Qualified specialist in Cardiology — ACVIM or ECVIM-CA Diplomate (or board eligible).
• Comfortable working autonomously across multiple clinic environments.
• Genuinely enjoys collaborating with and upskilling GP vets, not just managing referred cases.
