Southside Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. We are a well-established, privately owned small animal clinic focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animals, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do :
* Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians with exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
* Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
* Clean and prepare exam rooms, surgical instruments, and kennels
* Provide attentive care to hospitalized and post-op patients
* Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner
* Maintain accurate medical records and assist with filling prescriptions
* Support general clinic upkeep and inventory
✅ What We're Looking For :
* Previous experience in a veterinary clinic preferred, but not required - we're happy to train the right person!
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Team player with excellent communication and reliability
* Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and assist with animal handling
