Veterinary Assistant OpportunityBest Friends Animal Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is looking for an experienced parttime Veterinary Assistant to join our team!We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team on a parttime basis.

The role will involve assisting our veterinarians in both General Practice and Emergency Care settings. This is a dynamic position that requires flexibility, compassion, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but not limited to:Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical proceduresProvide compassionate care and support to patients and their ownersMaintain cleanliness and organization of hospital and equipmentHandle and restrain animals safely and effectivelyParticipate in the care and feeding of hospitalized patientsAdhere to hospital core values, policies and procedures at all timesWork collaboratively with other team members to ensure the highest standard of patient careQualificationsPrevious experience working in a veterinary hospital or similar setting is preferredKnowledge of basic animal care and medical terminologyAbility to handle and restrain animals safely and effectivelyMust be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds or heavierExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work weekends, holidaysWillingness to learn and take direction from veterinarians and senior staff membersCompassionate nature and genuine love for animalsBest Friends Animal Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is an equal opportunity employer.
