Athens Regional Veterinary Services is a compassionate, fast-paced veterinary clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care for pets and exceptional service to their owners. We are a supportive, team-oriented practice looking for a motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain animals
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Collect patient histories and support client communication
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures and diagnostics
- Administer medications under supervision
- Support front-desk duties as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Passion for animal care and client service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
