Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role based in Woburn, MA. The Veterinarian will perform medical examinations, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing care for a variety of companion animals. Daily responsibilities include conducting wellness visits and sick appointments, performing routine and complex surgeries, administering vaccines and medications, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and imaging. The role also involves educating clients on preventive care and treatment options, maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff, and ensuring adherence to clinic protocols and standards of care. The Veterinarian will contribute to a positive clinic culture and support continuous improvements in patient care and client service.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution; valid or eligible Massachusetts veterinary license.
- Experience in small animal medicine and surgery, including routine procedures, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Strong clinical skills in physical examination, medical assessment, and use of diagnostic tools such as laboratory tests and radiography.
- Effective communication skills for explaining conditions, treatment options, and preventive care to clients in clear, accessible language.
- Ability to work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff, promoting a respectful and inclusive team environment.
- Commitment to animal welfare, client service, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in veterinary practice.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and best practices.
- Comfort with using veterinary practice management software and maintaining accurate, detailed medical records.
