Village Veterinary Clinic is searching for an Associate DVM to join our Lompoc, CA, team!

We’re searching for an Associate with 5+ years of experience and solid surgery and clinical skills. While we have an emphasis on small animal services, we also treat large animals and exotics. Our next Associate will focus on small animals, pocket pets are a plus!

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role comprised of 4-10s or 5-8s and rotating on-call services.

The team at VVC is well-equipped to provide a complete range of services to clients along the central California coast. We’re looking for an Associate who:

Loves small animal medicine (any special interests are welcome!)

Is reliable, compassionate, and a team player

Is confident, capable, and thrives in ever changing environments

Understands the importance of client education and communicates effectively, compassionately, and respectfully

Is licensed (or able to become licensed) in the state of California

Get to know us:

6-doctor team (all experience levels)

Talented support team, including multiple RVTs

Proactive Hospital Manager who’s been with us since 2004

AAHA accredited hospital serving Lompoc, CA for 30+ years

Proudly treat all types of animals including livestock and exotics

Primarily perform routine procedures, dentistry, internal medicine, and emergency services

Closest clinic to the Vandenberg Air Force Base

Offer large animal ambulatory services

Less than 15 miles from the beach

Open Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm

Village Veterinary Clinic is conveniently located on Constellation Road, right off Cabrillo Hwy.

We require a valid California veterinary license and ability to obtain a DEA license

In addition to high-quality medicine and surgical skills, we are looking for doctors with excellent client communication and customer service skills as well as a dedication to continued education.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. The salary range for this opportunity is $130,000 - $150,000 annually. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
