Your Role As An Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking a personable and collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team at Countryside Veterinary Clinic and East Hills Veterinary Clinic. All levels of experience will be considered. In this role, you will practice high‑quality medicine and surgery while working closely with our skilled support staff, gaining exposure to a heavy and interesting surgical case load.

As a full‑time Veterinarian, this opportunity is available for an experienced doctor who is looking to join our thriving practices in St. Joseph, MO. Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess health and diagnose problems
• Treat and dress wounds
• Perform surgeries on animals
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases
• Operate medical equipment such as x‑ray machines
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
• Prescribe medication
• Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
• Licensure in the state where the candidate will be working
• Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
• Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
• Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure regarding animal wellbeing
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of animal behavior
• Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals
