The Role

  • Lead day-to-day hospital operations to ensure efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and excellent client experiences
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and mentor staff; create schedules aligned to patient needs and labor budgets
  • Build and sustain a positive, collaborative culture; champion new initiatives and drive adoption
  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting, P&L review, billing accuracy, expense control, and accounts receivable
  • Guide client-service standards; manage feedback and reviews; uphold consistent communication and quality controls
  • Manage inventory, vendor relationships, facilities, and equipment upkeep; refine policies and procedures for continuous improvement
  • Execute local marketing plans, social media and website content, and community outreach to attract and retain clients
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, workplace safety, health and labor regulations, and accurate record-keeping
  • Optimize practice software use; train team members and coordinate with IT support as needed
  • Full-time schedule with some evening or Saturday coverage aligned to client needs

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in veterinary, healthcare, or multi-unit service environments
  • Demonstrated strength in P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Proven leadership in recruiting, training, team building, and performance management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-service skills
  • Proficiency with practice or healthcare management software and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of OSHA and healthcare compliance; commitment to safety and confidentiality
  • Flexibility to support a schedule that may include Saturdays
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • If clinically licensed, must hold an active California license; clinical licensure is not required for this management role
