The Role

• Perform comprehensive exams, formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage follow-up care
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients to guide decisions and ensure understanding
• Conduct diagnostics and perform general surgery and dentistry with a focus on quality and safety
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols
• Collaborate with the Hospital Manager and clinical team to prioritize workflow and enhance efficiency
• Help refine hospital protocols from intake through discharge to maintain high standards of care
• Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in rounds to support continuity and case outcomes
• Engage in ongoing training and practice improvement initiatives

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
• Current California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Strong clinical fundamentals; proficiency in general surgery and dentistry preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills; team-oriented mindset
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred; mentorship available for the right candidate
