The Role

  • Perform comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, and client education.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures utilizing in-house laboratory testing and digital radiography.
  • Perform routine and elective surgeries and dental procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols.
  • Prescribe and manage medications through the on-site pharmacy.
  • Collaborate closely with the hospital team to promote efficiency and high standards of care.
  • Participate in case monitoring and, when applicable, daily rounds.
  • Contribute to ongoing protocol evaluation and practice improvements.

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an accredited institution.
  • Current license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon.
  • DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain and maintain).
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice.
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and dental skills with excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties that may require bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient and client care.
