Mentorship & Support for New Graduates

Starting your veterinary career is exciting—and you don’t have to do it alone.

New graduates joining Family Pet Clinic will participate in the NVA Mentorship Program , designed to provide additional guidance, connection, and support as you transition from veterinary school into practice.

The program includes:

  • One-on-one surgical and medical support from Dr. Jodi Long , current President of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and a Texas mentor.
  • Wellness programming focused on stress management and developing a balanced, sustainable veterinary career .
  • A cohort of other new-graduate veterinarians across Texas , with opportunities for social events, team bonding, and professional connection.
  • Leadership development and continuing education stipend support.
  • Ongoing opportunities to ask questions, develop confidence, and grow your clinical skills.

Because Family Pet Clinic is currently a one-doctor practice, with its veterinarian nearing her 10-year anniversary with the clinic, this position offers the opportunity to join a well-established practice with a strong foundation of client relationships, community trust, and continuity of care.
