• In-house diagnostics, including radiography and a clinical laboratory for routine bloodwork
• Dedicated surgical suite for routine soft-tissue procedures with standard anesthesia and monitoring
• Typical schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week; no on-call, overnight, or urgent care
• Patient flow designed for quality time: around 20-minute appointments; approximately 16 appointments per doctor on a typical day

The Role

• Deliver high-quality preventive care and general medicine for small animals
• Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries; manage anesthesia and analgesia with an experienced support team
• Utilize in-house radiography and clinical lab testing for timely diagnostics
• Communicate clearly with clients, provide education, and build lasting relationships
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold AAHA-aligned standards and protocols
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Typical clinical rhythm includes a balanced mix of wellness, sick visits, and surgery within a four-day week

Requirements

• DVM/VMD or equivalent from an accredited institution
• License to practice (or eligibility) in North Carolina and DEA registration
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Experience in small-animal general practice and routine soft-tissue surgery
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach
