Job Title: Veterinarian – Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Part-Time)
Schedule: 3 Days per Week

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and efficient Veterinarian to join our low-cost spay/neuter clinic team. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is deeply committed to increasing access to care and improving animal welfare in our community. The veterinarian will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services while ensuring exceptional standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality spay and neuter surgeries on cats and dogs in a high-volume setting
  • Conduct pre-operative exams and ensure patients are appropriate surgical candidates
  • Oversee anesthesia protocols and monitor patient safety throughout procedures
  • Provide post-operative care instructions and ensure proper recovery practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and clinic staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Uphold clinic standards for cleanliness, safety, and humane handling
  • Support a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Active veterinary license in good standing
  • Surgical experience required; high-volume spay/neuter experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia and pain management protocols
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality of care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for animal welfare and serving underserved populations
