CSRA Veterinary Services in beautiful Aiken, SC, is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated veterinarian to join our compassionate and growing team. Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive physical examinations and developing treatment plans for a diverse caseload of small animal patients
- Diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, including internal medicine, dermatology, cardiology, and more
- Performing routine and complex surgical procedures (e.g., spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, dental extractions)
- Interpreting diagnostic imaging (radiographs, ultrasound) and laboratory results
- Administering vaccinations and implementing preventive care protocols
- Educating clients on pet health, nutrition, preventive medicine, and treatment options
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records using our veterinary practice management software
- Collaborating effectively with our skilled team of veterinary technicians, assistants, and receptionists
- Participating in continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine
- Providing compassionate end-of-life care and client support
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited university
- Current and active South Carolina veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in small animal practice preferred, but highly motivated new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry
- Strong diagnostic capabilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client education and empathy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset
- Experience with Idexx NEO is a plus
