Provide veterinary and preventive care to maintain the health of animals while utilizing the latest advances in diagnostics. Prioritize traumatic injuries and serious illnesses to ensure that all animals receive time-sensitive care. Examine animals to diagnose and treat their health problems. Prescribe medication and medicate animals suffering from infections or illnesses. Perform surgery and medical procedures, treat and dress wounds, and set fractures. Vaccinate against diseases, such as distemper and rabies. Euthanize animals when necessary.
Worksite locations: Round Rock, Texas, and Austin, TX.
Education and Experience Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or foreign equivalent. Must be licensed as a veterinarian in the state of Texas.
