What’s the difference between Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care Hospitals?
Vetco Vaccination Clinics offer wellness exams, preventive vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion. No surgeries, emergencies, or sick visits are conducted. Clinics are located inside Petco stores and operate on an appointment basis to manage traffic efficiently.
Vetco Total Care Hospitals provide preventive care, diagnostics, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Shifts involve collaboration with the medical director to review case comfort levels. Hospitals are equipped with advanced technology, including digital records, ultrasound, X-ray, and on-site labs. No overnight or emergency on-call duties are required. The appointment-based model ensures timely departures.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing
- State-specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws and vaccinations
- DEA license in good standing (preferred for full-service hospitals)
- Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy
- Compliance with local, state, and federal mandates
