This position serves as the field team lead and provides functional direction to field staff. The lead is the primary point of escalation for customer, vet or store partner issues and oversees the day‑to‑day operations of vaccination clinics, including vehicle delivery, compliance, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide functional direction and supervision to the field team.
- Effectively perform all clinic team roles and coach team members when necessary.
- Safely operate company‑supplied vehicles to and from clinic locations and the office as a driver.
- Lift up to 40 pounds as required.
- Communicate with customers, business partners, and the Market Manager to manage difficult situations, including pet incidents.
- Liaise with clinic leadership to determine optimal clinic locations, crowd‑management practices, and address any arising issues.
- Ensure all clinic processes are followed and complete all required paperwork accurately and completely.
- Facilitate a sales environment by leading targeted discussion topics throughout the clinic.
- Handle revenue for the day, including depositing funds into safe or bank.
- Assist customers in completing paperwork to ensure clear and accurate medical records.
- Manage crowd control, clean up pet waste, and communicate effectively about disruptive pets.
- Offer available discounts to customers experiencing disruptive or unpleasant situations.
- Manage loading and unloading of equipment and supplies from the company vehicle safely.
- Assist in training new partners according to the training plan.
- Understand and communicate Vetco medical recommendations, booster schedules, and products.
- Communicate with store management to foster cooperation and business success.
- At clinic conclusion, present a report card and site report to the MOD and obtain gross sales receipts or SKU movement reports.
- Prior to departure, confirm the clinic area is clean and free of trash, sharps, equipment, or supplies.
- Notify the store in advance if the clinic team is running late.
- Reconcile all equipment and supplies at the end of clinic and at the end of the day.
- Escalate clinic issues to Market Manager, Store Manager, and/or Vetco Customer Service via the Incident reporting process.
- Ensure completion of all paperwork and checklists.
- Restock rig supplies and product bins at the end of the day.
- Participate in company‑facilitated training related to products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Complete Clinic Lead reports for each shift.
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform all clinic job roles.
- Possesses outstanding customer service skills, basic sales techniques, and an interest in animals, along with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Holds leadership qualities and/or experience.
- Can operate company vehicles.
- Has effective communication skills and can provide functional direction and leadership to the team while resolving difficult situations independently.
- Comfortable handling and restraining animals directly, in accordance with company policy.
- Existing partners applying must be in good standing.
Work Environment
The majority of tasks are performed indoors. The role requires passenger vehicle travel to reach work locations; overnight travel may be required in some locations. The position involves bending, kneeling, moving equipment up to 40 pounds, and standing for long periods, which may increase the risk of injury if proper procedures are not followed.
