Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – RCVS Accredited Practice in Cheshire. Join a new, growing independent practice focused on staff progression and high‑standard animal and client care.
Practice Highlights
Opened in September 2022, the practice is the highest rated in the area and has recently received RCVS Accreditation for Small Animal General Practice. The team currently consists of two veterinary surgeons and three registered veterinary nurses. It offers state‑of‑the‑art equipment including digital X‑ray, full laparoscopic and ultrasound systems, a complete multi‑parameter monitoring system, orthopaedic tools, an in‑house lab, separate kennels and a cattery. The practice promotes sustainability through recyclable packaging and paperless systems.
Opening Hours
8:00am – 7:00pm Monday to Friday
9:00am – 1:00pm Saturday mornings
No on‑call; vets‑now are the dedicated out‑of‑hours provider. Practice closed on bank holidays.
Shift Pattern
Two‑week rolling rota with an average of 38.5 hours over the two weeks and one day off each week.
Responsibilities
- Routine consultations
- Neutering and soft‑tissue surgery (e.g., mass removals, GI surgery, amputations)
- Medical case work‑ups
- Dentals
- Ultrasonography and radiography
- Willingness to learn or have experience with laparoscopic and/or endoscopic procedures
