Vertical CNC Machinist

Vertical Cnc Machinist (Swiss Machines)We are working with a client company seeking a Vertical CNC Machinist (Swiss Machines) for their company in the greater Chicago Metro region.Key Responsibilities:Setup and Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) by loading programs, tools, and raw materials.Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers) to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.Tooling and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including changing tools, maintaining fluid/lubricant levels, and cleaning the workspace.Monitoring: Monitor machines for unusual sounds or performance issues, adjusting feeds and speeds to ensure optimal production.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine errors or production faults to minimize downtime.Swiss Machine Experience requiredQualifications and Skills:Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blue prints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.Experience: Previous experience operating CNC machinery (mills, lathes) or technical training in CNC machining.Mathematics: Proficiency in basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.Previous experience with CNC Swiss vertical machines requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
