Position Summary
Responsible for obtaining, reviewing, and communicating insurance benefit information to support efficient admissions and revenue cycle processes while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility through payer portals, websites, and insurance carriers.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all VOB requests.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and the VOB team.
- Support onboarding and training of new VOB Specialists.
- Meet productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain HIPAA and PHI compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Strong insurance verification knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
