About the Role

Pear VC is looking for an experienced Talent Partner to join our team in San Francisco, CA. The Talent Partner will work closely with our portfolio companies to help them recruit top talent across all functions, with a particular focus on technical and product roles.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most innovative startups in Silicon Valley, learn about cutting-edge technologies, and build a strong network within the venture capital and startup ecosystems. We are looking for someone who is passionate about talent acquisition, has a strong understanding of the startup landscape, and is eager to make a significant impact on the growth of our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with Pear VC’s portfolio companies to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  2. Source, screen, and present top-tier candidates for various roles (technical, product, sales, marketing, operations, etc.).
  3. Provide guidance to portfolio companies on best practices for interviewing, offer negotiation, and candidate experience.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, hiring managers, and candidates.
  5. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial outreach to offer acceptance.
  6. Develop and implement talent acquisition programs and initiatives to support the growth of Pear VC’s portfolio.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and the startup ecosystem.
  8. Represent Pear VC at industry events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on technical recruiting in a fast-paced environment (startup, venture capital, or agency serving startups preferred).
  2. Proven track record of successfully placing candidates in high-growth startups.
  3. Strong understanding of various recruitment tools and platforms.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  6. Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to Haves

  1. Experience working within a venture capital firm or directly supporting a portfolio of startups.
  2. Experience with employer branding and talent marketing initiatives.
  3. Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
