Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level corporate associate with 3-5 years of experience in venture capital transactions to join their Boston office. The role involves advising venture-backed companies and institutional investors across all stages of the company lifecycle.
Duties
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents for venture capital financings.
- Advise companies on corporate formation, governance, and securities matters.
- Represent investors in new investments and follow-on rounds.
- Manage diligence and maintain direct client relationships.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in venture capital transactions.
- Experience at a nationally recognized law firm preferred.
- Admitted to the Massachusetts and/or New York Bar or eligible for admission.
- Education: Outstanding academic credentials required.
- Certifications: Bar admission in Massachusetts and/or New York.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, ability to work effectively in fast-paced deal teams, sound judgment and significant responsibility management.
