Our reliable product development and launch capability, coupled with our global footprint, make us a trusted partner for customers in the aerospace, hydraulic cylinders, flooring, textile, and geo components industries.Learn more about the history of Leggett: Leggett & PlattBRANCH 0079JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION:   VENDOR MANUFACTURING COORDINATORREPORTS TO:         MASTER SCHEDULERQUALIFICATIONS:Strong computer skillsKnowledge about machining processesAbility to read and understand prints/drawingsQuality mindedAbility to work with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Must have a cooperative attitude, necessary to work effectively with othersMust be able to follow verbal and written instructionsMust be detail orientedCommitment to Quality Management Systems and Continuous ImprovementCommitment to L&P Safety and Environmental initiatives PRIMARY DUTIES:The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following:Sub-contract component processes such as heat treat, black oxide, chrome, grinding, machining, etc.Obtain and evaluate vendor quotationsEvaluate vendor performanceConfirm orders with vendorsKey orders and process all paperwork pertinent to shipping the ordersWrite up requests for special purchased items or prints for non-stocked manufactured itemsMonitor back orders and track late partsMaintain vendor files on any and all correspondencePush through job packets/purchase requests for urgently needed parts and follow upClose jobs in an expeditious mannerHave a clear understanding of all processes involved with the positionIdentify, record and communicate any problems relating to product, process and the quality systemConform to all Quality and Safety requirements and proceduresParticipate in the Continuous Improvement ProcessPerform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriateCoordinate parts delivery and pickupWhat to Do NextNow that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
