About the Role

Join Fleet Farm as a Vendor Analyst and become a critical link between our suppliers, merchants, and inventory teams. In this role, you will manage the planning, ordering, and tracking of inventory across hundreds of SKUs, ensuring our stores have the right products available at the right time to meet customer demand.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys analyzing data, and can turn insights into actionable business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning, inventory management, and forecasting, with retail experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting categories such as firearms, ammunition, fishing, or other outdoor recreation products is highly valuable and preferred.
What You’ll Do
Partner with Suppliers & Merchants: Build strong relationships with suppliers and merchants while aligning on financial plans, forecasts, inventory strategies, and business objectives.
Forecast & Plan Inventory: Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasts using sales trends, historical data, seasonality, promotions, and market demand to optimize inventory levels.
Drive In-Store Excellence: Analyze sales and inventory performance to improve product availability, reduce excess inventory, and increase service levels.
Optimize Assortments: Recommend SKU and category-level adjustments based on customer demand, sales performance, inventory trends, and regional insights.
Manage Product Lifecycles: Support seasonal transitions, promotional planning, new product launches, and discontinued product strategies to maximize inventory performance.
Enhance Supply Chain Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve order flow, inventory productivity, transportation efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
Own the Order Process: Create and manage purchase orders while partnering with suppliers, distribution centers, and stores to ensure accurate and timely product flow.
Deliver Business Insights: Communicate inventory, sales, forecast accuracy, and service-level metrics to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Support Allocations: Execute store allocations and inventory transfers to ensure the right products are available in the right locations.
Achieve Performance Goals: Monitor and deliver key inventory and business metrics established by leadership.
Act with Integrity: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information with professionalism and discretion.

What You Bring
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into business actions.
- Experience with demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, supply chain, or merchandising analytics.
- Retail experience preferred, with an understanding of seasonal demand, customer purchasing behaviors, and inventory management.
- Experience supporting categories such as firearms, ammunition, fishing, hunting, or outdoor recreation products is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with suppliers, merchants, and cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency with forecasting tools, inventory systems, Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools.
