nJob Summary
nWe are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Vehicle Emissions Technician to join our team. This position combines Utah vehicle emissions testing with quick-lube service duties and front-counter customer service.
nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on cars, helping customers, and being part of a fast-paced shop environment.
nNo emissions experience? We are willing to train the right candidate and assist with certification.
nResponsibilities
nEmissions Testing
nPerform Utah vehicle emissions inspections in accordance with state and county regulations
nAccurately enter vehicle data and complete testing documentation
nExplain results and next steps to customers clearly and professionally
nLube / Hood Technician Duties
nPerform oil and filter changes on a wide range of vehicles
nCheck and top off vehicle fluids (coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid, etc.)
nReplace air filters and cabin filters
nPerform basic preventative maintenance services
nFollow shop safety and quality procedures
nCustomer Service & Front Counter
nGreet customers and guide them through the service process
nCreate invoices and check customers out using POS system
nAnswer basic service questions and recommend maintenance when appropriate
nShop Operations
nHelp maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
nAssist with inventory tracking and restocking supplies
nWork as part of a team to keep workflow efficient and customers happy
nQualifications
nHigh school diploma or GED preferred
nValid driver’s license and clean driving record
nAbility to obtain/hold Utah Emissions Inspector Certification (Weber County)
nBasic automotive knowledge preferred (training available)
nComfortable using computers and learning shop software
nStrong customer service and communication skills
nAbility to work on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs
