IT Project ManagerManage and deliver complex IT Project(s) for VDOT's Asset Management Division. Lead teams through various project phases including pre-selection, initiation, planning, execution and control, and closeout. Serve as a hands-on technical project manager and coordinate with development staff and business groups. Communicate timelines and expectations to both technical and business staff.
Facilitate collaboration among multi-functional technical teams. Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the execution of projects. Manage contracts and coordinate with procurement offices. Adhere to VDOT and VITA project management practices and governance requirements.
Coordinate with VDOT and VITA project management offices. Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status. Disseminate information to team members and customers as per the communication plan. Document requirements and use cases, and facilitate design workshops for assigned project.
Prepare test objectives, test plans, and test cases for the project. Manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Define, measure, and communicate progress using project metrics. Support system and application training efforts.
