VDC & Solutions Manager Location: Scottsdale, AZ Pay: $95,000–$120,000
We're hiring a hands-on VDC & Solutions Manager for an Engineered Solutions team. This is a BIM Manager-level opportunity for someone who wants to stay involved in the technical work while leading a small team.
You'll manage 2 Layout Specialists and 1 BIM Modeler, while also working directly with VDC/BIM coordination, electrical design, prefab, field layout, and solutions development.
What we're looking for
5+ years of BIM, VDC, or related experience
Strong Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks skills
Electrical construction or MEP experience
Hands-on design/modeling experience with the ability to review others' work
Experience with clash detection and constructability
Experience working with a prefab team is highly beneficial
Leadership or team-management experience
Electrical field experience is a strong plus, especially familiarity with electrical assemblies and field installation
Someone with drive who takes ownership and is willing to step outside the traditional scope when needed
Open to learning and training on new systems and processes
What you'll do Lead VDC/BIM coordination across multiple electrical projects Manage and mentor 2 Layout Specialists and 1 BIM Modeler Stay hands-on with design, modeling, coordination, and document production Support electrical prefabrication, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and field installation Coordinate with GCs, design teams, field personnel, and other trades Oversee field layout and layout technology Support solutions design, shop drawings, standard products, and R&D Help improve VDC, prefab, and field processes
