Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols (preparation, execution, reporting).
• Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, records all information accurately and timely, reports critical results promptly.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, and center personnel, maintains pleasant and informative manner, makes recommendations to supervisor.
• Enhances teamwork, shows motivation, problem‑solving, seeks assistance, mentors and develops others.
• Maintains work area clean and orderly, cleans patient areas, assists with lab opening/closing, cleans and maintains equipment per infection control policies.
• Identifies learning needs, attends in‑services and department meetings, seeks increased proficiency, suggests new techniques.
• Additional roles: Echo Sonographer III — includes Level 1 & 2 skills, protocol‑directed research protocols, professional development, QI initiatives, CVT PACT.
• Additional role: Vascular Tech III — includes graft surveillance, arterial duplex, pseudo‑a, fistula, SVU membership, IAC assistance, QI initiatives, CVT PACT.

Qualifications

• Registry through CCI or ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Vascular Tech III: RVT/RVS certification.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills; basic computer proficiency.
