Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Per Diem Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an experienced vascular surgery team in Bakersfield, California. Thisposition provides the opportunity to support inpatient care, operating roomcases, outpatient vascular clinic visits, and postoperative follow-up. Per-diemAPPs will provide coverage based on departmental needs and provideravailability.

Compensation : $136,500

Schedule

• Per-diem schedule with shifts availablebased on coverage needs
• 10-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekday coverage
• Flexible scheduling based on mutualavailability

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a fully equippedoutpatient vascular clinic
• Assist with inpatient endovascular andopen vascular surgery cases
• Support outpatient surgery center cases
• Manage patients with vascular conditionsincluding peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, dialysis access,and carotid disease
• Participate in elective and postoperativevascular clinics
• Perform inpatient rounds andconsultations
• Assist vascular surgeons in the operatingroom
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff,and multidisciplinary care teams
• Provide high-quality, patient-centeredcare in a fast-paced clinical environment

Requirements

• Current PA-C or Nurse Practitionerlicense and certification
• 1–2 yearsof vascular surgery experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to work effectively in acollaborative surgical environment
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
