To enhance the claims review program, the remote Vascular Surgery Medical Director will provide leadership and direction, overseeing the quality and effectiveness of medical services while engaging in provider discussions and appeals. Key responsibilities: Reviews surgical and professional claims for accurate coding using clinical records Participates in training related to regulatory compliance and conducts telephonic discussions with treating providers Supports compliance with regulatory agency standards and provides clinical support for initial review staff Required qualifications: MD or DO with a current, active, and fully unrestricted medical license Current board certification in Vascular Surgery through ABMS or AOA 5+ years of clinical experience post-residency Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
