Proficient in surgical coding, the full-time Vascular Surgery Coder will review clinical documentation and apply appropriate ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for Trauma Surgery cases, ensuring compliance and accuracy while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Perform quality surgical coding on General and Trauma surgery chart types as assigned Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party requirements Achieve and maintain 95% accuracy in coding while managing a daily review queue and addressing re-bill processes Required qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience in medical coding 3+ years of Vascular Surgery Coding experience for both inpatient and outpatient claims CPC certification from AAPC EMR experience
