UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services is recruiting an additional BC/BE, fellowship trained, vascular surgeon to provide full-scope vascular services. This employed position is based on the UPMC Altoona hospital campus within the Heart and Vascular Institute. Clinicians will practice in a 400-bed tertiary care hospital supported by advanced procedural suites and a comprehensive regional network.
Practice Info
- Vascular Surgery Practice is located on the UPMC Altoona hospital campus with easy access to the 12-operating room suite, interventional/endovascular procedure room, and 6-operating room ambulatory surgery center
- Part of Altoona's Heart and Vascular Institute which currently includes 1 vascular surgeon, 1 cardio-thoracic surgeon, and 5 cardiologists
- UPMC Altoona hospital is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital that serves a 6-county primary service area of 350,000+ central Pennsylvania residents
- Level 3 trauma center and a thrombectomy capable interventional stroke center that serves an 18-county region from New York to Maryland
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope vascular surgery including open and endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula graphs, and extremity bypass surgery
