Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible stroke neurologist to join their Neurology group in Fargo, ND. This role involves predominantly consult hospital practice with some clinic work, supported by a team of advanced practice providers and neurohospitalists. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, collaborating with various neuroscience specialists.

- Department includes one stroke neurologist, two endovascular neurosurgeons, and 4 advanced practice providers
- 4 APP's support the stroke service
- Telestroke services provided to regional locations
- Neuro ICU staffed by neuro-intensivists
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit patients (if applicable to the setting)
- Provide consultative services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system
- Share stroke call with other stroke neurologists
- Work in collaboration with colleagues in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation
- Obtain an academic appointment at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Educate medical students and residents

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training

- Ability to demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services of at least 50 patients in the last 12 months OR active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months
