Vascular Neurology Physician

The Department of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a vascular neurologist for their Comprehensive Stroke Program at Mount Sinai Brooklyn. This role involves clinical activities within a busy stroke program, with potential for clinical research. The selected candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor or higher, depending on experience, and will primarily work at Mount Sinai Brooklyn.

Practice Info

• Primary location will be Mount Sinai Brooklyn, with potential for occasional assignments at other hospital sites within the Mount Sinai Health System
• Mount Sinai Brooklyn is a 212-bed acute-care community hospital
• The hospital has a completely redesigned intensive care unit, a new 128 slice CT scanner, MRI services, new digital mammography equipment, and a new state-of-the-art radiology suite
• The hospital's emergency department serves as a major hub of activity and a critical community resource
• The Department of Neurology has a robust clinical research enterprise and is a national leader in investigator-initiated research and clinical trials
• The Department of Neurology has over twenty current stroke and interventional faculty, a robust neurology residency program, and three neurointerventional and four vascular neurology fellows per year

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical activities in the Stroke Program, including Inpatient Stroke Teaching Service, Stroke Consult Service, Outpatient Stroke Clinic, and the Telestroke Program
• Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a health system

Compensation

• Competitive salary offered
• The compensation range for an Assistant Professor is $240,000 to $300,000
• The compensation range for an Associate Professor is $270,000 to $350,000
• The compensation range for a Professor is $300,000 to $400,000
• Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications
• Salaries do not include bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• BE or BC in Neurology
• Completed ACGME-fellowship training in Vascular Neurology, or equivalent
