Sanford Health is seeking a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist to join their established practice in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves a high volume of interventional radiology procedures and clinic work, supported by a robust APP team. The position offers an opportunity to work within a large, growing not-for-profit health system dedicated to health and healing.
Practice Info
- Part of a multi-specialty hospital group that currently includes 4 Interventional Radiologists and 24 Diagnostic Radiologists
- Practice is approximately 80-90% IR with procedures and clinic
- Robust clinic is managed by multiple APPs
- The group is excited to train motivated IR doctors in procedures in which they feel they need additional expertise
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for patients of all ages
- Perform Arterial and Venous Interventions
- Perform Aortic Interventions including EVAR
- Perform Interventional Oncology procedures
- Perform Hepatobiliary procedures
- Perform Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty
- Perform Trauma procedures (Level 1 Trauma Center)
- Perform TIPS procedures
- Perform Pediatric procedures

- Call Ratio (No stroke call): Weekdays - 1:5
- Call Ratio (No stroke call): Weekends - 1:5

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Radiology residency program of at least 4 years duration and a clinical fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology of at least 1-year duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency
- Required to have completed IR/DR subspecialty training by the time of employment
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training

- Experience can be demonstrated by providing fellowship documentation (for recent fellows)
- For applicants not directly out of fellowship, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications
- For applicants not directly out of fellowship, must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 100 Interventional Radiology procedures in the last 24 months
