Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, located in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an experienced Pre-op Registered Nurse for our Vascular and Interventional Center. Generous Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Hours/Shift
Full Time, Days, 36 hours per week
Department/Position Overview
Days, Monday - Friday. The prep area is open from 6am-5 pm. Nurses take weekend call every 6th to 7th weekend between the hours of 7am-3pm.
- Our department has 25-bed prep & recovery unit, 8 procedure rooms and 2 Vascular Hybrid OR’s
- Nurses in this unit will be cross trained to care for interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures and OR patients.
- Provide care for patients recovering from both Moderate Sedation and General Anesthesia.
Primary Duties
This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
