Bishop Ireton High School is a Catholic, co‑educational college preparatory school located in Alexandria, Virginia. The school competes in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) and Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA). Many of the players have progressed to collegiate programs.
Position: Varsity Head Coach – Girls Lacrosse
Location: Alexandria, Virginia
Start: Fall 2026, immediately when filled
Job Type: Limited Part‑Time (less than 20 hours per week) with stipend of $8,000‑$12,000
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the competitive varsity program to the highest level of league, state, and national play.
- Develop student‑athletes through coaching, mentorship, and character building.
- Manage coaching staff and team budget.
- Run the Spring season (late February through late May) and oversee year‑round program, including pre‑season and summer camps.
- Promote sportsmanship, team building, and the Catholic, college‑preparatory values of the school.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching high‑school‑aged girls lacrosse.
- Year‑round lacrosse programmatic experience.
- Vision for building and leading a competitive girls lacrosse program.
- Commitment to the principles of a Catholic, college‑preparatory school.
- Strong interpersonal skills and record of developing relationships with student‑athletes, colleagues, administrators, parents/guardians, and others in the school community.
- Experience familiar with DMV competitive high‑school or equivalent youth lacrosse programs is desirable.
- Required citizenship, residency, or work visa.
