Valve TechnicianFerguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!Hours: Monday- Friday 6am -2:30pm– overtime as needed -on call schedule possible weekendsResponsibilitiesAssemble, wire, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of automated valve packages, with a primary focus on Limitorque electric actuatorsPerform Limitorque actuator setup, calibration, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair at Ferguson VAC locationPerform field service work including installation, startup, commissioning, inspection, repair, and support of Limitorque actuators and related valve automation equipmentWork safely with and around live industrial electrical systems, including 240V and 480V, on a daily basisRead and interpret customer specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, actuator manuals, and technical documentsFollow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation, including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of productInteract professionally and courteously with inside sales, outside sales, management, warehouse personnel, and customers when addressing technical questions and service needsAssist in supporting technical training related to valve automation and Limitorque/MOV productsTravel out of town as needed for field service, customer support, and factory product trainingMust adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
