- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 8–12 years of experience in electromechanical product development, manufacturing, or supply chain engineering.
- Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from concept through production and end-of-life, ensuring timely delivery of engineering milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, and Suppliers to support product development and release activities.
- Drive BOM structuring, configuration management, engineering change management, and product documentation release processes.
- Conduct and facilitate DFM/DFA/DFX reviews, Design FMEA, and Manufacturing FMEA to improve product quality, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Drive product quality and technical lifecycle management, including component qualifications, alternate source validations, and sustaining engineering activities.
- Identify and execute value engineering, cost optimization, and process improvement opportunities through design, material, manufacturing, and supply chain initiatives.
- Assess supplier and manufacturing partner capabilities, support qualification activities, and resolve technical, quality, and manufacturing challenges.
- Review engineering requirements, specifications, drawings, and tolerance analyses to ensure products meet functional, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and manage project plans, coordinate stakeholders, provide status updates, and ensure successful execution of product development activities.
- Experience and Skills Required:
- Strong experience in product development, NPI, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of BOM management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle activities.
- Ability to review drawings, 3D models, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, casting, molding, machining, and assembly.
- Experience in DFX, FMEA, quality improvement, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of component qualification, product release, and sustaining engineering activities.
- Strong problem-solving, project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and engineering data analysis tools.
