Value Chain Performance Specialist – HF Sinclair

Location: Dallas, TX

Overview

HF Sinclair is seeking a Value Chain Performance Specialist professional to develop analytical tools and processes for the Refining Business Segment that drive clear metrics, insights, and actions. The role supports a “Single Source of Truth” data sourcing approach, utilizes advanced technology on standard platforms, and acts as a technical advisor.

Job Duties

  • Improve Refining Operations, Commercial and Integrated Business Segment scorecards and monthly key metrics.
  • Collaborate with Crude Supply, Products, Asphalt, Logistics, Operations, and Marketing teams to develop analytical calculations, models, and tools that expose insights to drive actionable results.
  • Collaborate with the IT function for evaluating and growing capabilities with new platforms to provide user‑friendly end‑user systems.
  • Collaborate with the Finance function to ensure alignment between reporting and accounting records.
  • Generate metrics with dynamic capabilities by period, location, and references such as prior periods, monthly plans, and budget.
  • Utilize cross‑functional team specialists to improve data system analytics that align with common industry standards.
  • Monitor and develop standards and metrics for quality assurance.
  • Ensure “Single Source of Truth” approach of data sourcing that is vetted and aligned in test environments before production.
  • Utilize advanced technology analytics and data housing such as Snowflake, Alteryx, and Power BI to source directly from systems.
  • Maintain weekly, monthly, and annual pricing systems used to generate operational optimization and forward planning, and support development of annual budget oil flows.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.

Experience

Minimum 8 direct years of refining experience with economics, modeling, and optimization.

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Office‑based with occasional refinery visits and up to 10% travel by land and air. Includes petroleum refinery environment and outdoor conditions.
