Validation Engineer (x2)We are seeking two Validation Engineers to join Caterpillar's Electrification & Energy Solutions Division. The team is responsible for hands-on validation testing of low and high-power battery chargers and power electronics. This role includes writing test procedures, performing data analysis, troubleshooting, and ensuring successful validation of electrical charging power systems.Coordinate DFMEA and validation test activities with engineering teams.Lead design teams in DFMEA development.Create test plans, lead meetings, and assign validation metrics.Develop and maintain electrification product validation plans.Support NPI program teams in validation test planning.Analyze test failures and drive design improvements.Prepare and report product validation metrics to leadership.Perform hands-on validation testing for battery chargers (15kW–2MW DC output, AC input from 120V–13.8kV).Document test procedures, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues.Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams.Office and lab environment.Exposure to low and medium voltage AC/DC systems.Lab can be noisy and warm at times.Minimum 2 years of experience in validation/testing (internships/projects included).Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, EET, or MET.Experience with FMEA and systematic failure analysis.Experience with power electronics, battery systems, and charging systems.
