We're building more than infrastructure—we're building a team that pushes limits and stands behind every job we do.Position: Field Quality Control Representative (UG Utility/Solar Infrastructure)Location: Nationwide (100% Travel Required) - First Project Based in Pratt, KSSalary: $90k - $120k DOER-2 Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Field Quality Control Representative to support our heavy civil, underground utility, and power infrastructure projects across the United States. This field-based position is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, client requirements, and applicable industry regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering quality workmanship while working collaboratively with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, inspectors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.Key Responsibilities:Perform daily field inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standardsMonitor construction activities including excavation, grading, underground utilities, concrete, foundations, and related civil workDocument inspections, testing results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and project quality recordsCoordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, inspectors, subcontractors, and clients regarding quality requirementsVerify materials, workmanship, and installations meet project specifications and applicable industry standardsAssist with preparation and management of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and turnover packagesTrack and document non-conforming work and verify corrective actions have been completedCoordinate required material testing and third-party inspectionsMaintain organized project quality records, reports, photographs, and documentationParticipate in client, regulatory, and third-party inspections and auditsAssist with punch list development, project closeout documentation, and final quality verificationPromote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve quality and field executionWork closely with field leadership to ensure quality and safety remain top priorities throughout project executionRequirements:3+ years of experience in Quality Control, Construction Inspection, Field Engineering, or heavy civil constructionExperience with heavy civil construction, underground utilities, concrete, foundations, grading, or utility-scale power projects preferredWorking knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentsFamiliarity with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable construction standardsExperience documenting inspections, testing, and quality recordsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify quality issues and work collaboratively to resolve themProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience using electronic project documentation software is preferredAbility to work independently in remote field environmentsWilling and able to travel nationwide and work extended hours as project schedules requireValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening, background check, and meet client site requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred but not requiredACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician CertificationICC, NICET, or other applicable Quality Control or Inspection certificationsExperience with utility-scale renewable energy, substations, transmission, or heavy civil infrastructure projectsExperience working with electronic quality management systems and project management softwareBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) / Sick LeaveMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (company funded options for the entire family)401(k) with company match5-Year Employment Appreciation BonusWork Schedule:Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required by project needsReady to Join Our Team?
